IVS Online

IVS offers a comprehensive Vascular service to both NHS and private hospitals. It is the only service provider in the North West Region which can fulfill all the Vascular Surgical Society and Society for Vascular Technologists requirements for service provision.

Vascular disease is the major cause of death in the UK accounting for 40% of all deaths. The risk increases with age, with 17,500 people dying between 55-64 years old. By detecting disease early, changes in lifestyle and possibly lipid lowering drugs can slow progression and prolong life.

	To provide a pool of trained vascular technologists to offer comprehensive vascular services to both NHS and private hospitals.
	To train new technologists to cover the increasing demand for vascular services.
	To provide and maintain equipment at major vascular centres ensuring a "First Class" service.
	To research and introduce new investigative techniques.

	Cardiovascular Screening IVS Ltd has recently entered into a collaboration agreement with the largest private hospital outside London, the BMI Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle, Manchester, to provide Cardiovascular Health Screening. An joint IVS/BMI screen uses ultrasound and offers a thorough analysis of the vascular system with a comprehensive report and recommendations. No referral is required.
